Primary Duties & Responsibilities

* Loads, unloads and operates vacuum coating chamber to deposit thin-film coatings on optical substrates.

* Performs spectral scans to verify coating process control.

* Performs chamber and tooling cleaning.

* Daily monitoring of chamber process and coating measurements.

* First-level troubleshooting of coating chamber.

* Maintains process data records.

* Works with other production technicians and engineers as assigned.

Education & Experience

* Minimum 5 years working as a E-beam optical coating technician.

* High School diploma with technical training course work.

* Experience with vacuum and cleanroom technologies.

* Proficient with He leak detection/RGA/multimeters.

Skills

* Strong interpersonal, teaming, and problem-solving skills.

* Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp A&D.

* Good mechanical aptitude.

* Able to work in a collaborative manner with staff having a wide range of skills and work experience.

* Proficient with general hand tools.

* Proactive approach to daily work and problem resolution

Working Conditions

* Cleanroom

Physical Requirements

* Lift 40lbs and work in confined areas.
